PICK A PROJECT

You can designate the money you raise to any of our 50 projects. Our emergency relief programs provide desperately needed assistance to victims of natural disaster, war, disease, and famine. As we offer food, water, and temporary shelter, we meet critical needs and give people a chance to rebuild their lives.

GEORGIA MARATHON

More than 40 runners joined us in Atlanta in March this year to raise awareness and money for clean water projects around the world. The Georgia Marathon & Half Marathon will be an official Team SP event again in 2011. Here's how to come run with us:
1. Set up your fund-raising page on Firstgiving. Click on Get Started and then choose the Georgia Marathon 2011 event. (There is no fund-raising minimum but we do suggest setting a goal of at least $1,000.)
2. After you have created your page, you will receive an email from Team SP with a password to register for the Georgia Marathon or Half-Marathon and sign up as a member of Team Samaritan’s Purse.
3. Register for the Georgia Marathon/Half-Marathon. Choose to join a team and select Team Samaritan’s Purse. Enter the password you have been given. If you are already registered for the Georgia Marathon, email with your registration details and we will have you added to the team listing.
4. Additional information about the weekend events will be sent to the email you provide when you register.

CINCINNATI FLYING PIG MARATHON
In May, Team Samaritan’s Purse athletes ran to raise money for Memorial Christian Hospital in Bangladesh, one of the poorest nations on earth. Memorial Christian Hospital is supported by World Medical Mission, the medical arm of Samaritan’s Purse. Proceeds from this event will be used to provide desperately needed medical supplies, equipment, and upgrades. Team SP is planning to run the Pig again in '11.
