Urgent Needs

World Medical Mission, the medical arm of Samaritan’s Purse, places Protestant Christian physicians and dentists for short term assignments at evangelical mission hospitals and clinics around the world.

OBGYN

Pioneer Christian Hospital, The Republic of Congo. — Pioneer Christian Hospital, Impfondo, The Republic of Congo, has a very urgent need for OBGYN coverage. The hospital is a 50 bed hospital with 30 buildings situated on a 17-acre campus. The hospital has a 24/7 emergency care department. The hospital has 3 operating rooms, one dedicated for ophthalmology. They have a portable x-ray, ultrasound, EKG, pharmacy, and a well equipped laboratory. A minimum service of two weeks plus travel is required. French is the official language and is preferred, but not required. The hospital is located in the northern district capital of Impfondo. The area is covered in a dense tropical inundated rain forest, but the town of Impfondo has paved roads.

The individual volunteer is responsible for all costs associated with the trip. World Medical Mission personnel will provide assistance in arranging all travel including international flights and in-country travel as well as any needed medical licenses, visas or permits.
